Becoming a Pathfinder Summer Camp Counselor

Interested in working with a dynamic, fun, and talented staff at this year’s Pathfinder Summer Camp? Have experience working with and a passion for engaging the minds and creative spirits of children? Enjoy being outdoors all day? Then we encourage you to apply to be a Summer Camp Counselor with The Pathfinder School!

Our summer camp is hosted on our 22 acres campus, which is full of wooded trails and includes a beach for swimming on Cedar Lake. This camp serves ages 3-12 and also has a Junior Camp Counselor Program for 13-15 year olds. This is a day camp that runs Monday-Friday from 9-4.

Camp Training (required) will be 4 days and begin on June 25th. Camp begins on July 1st and ends on August 16th. Counselors are expected to be available for the entire 8 week term.

Being a summer camp counselor is one of the most demanding, yet fun positions you will ever have! Candidates must have the stamina to patiently lead groups of children for 8 hours a day, while carrying supplies, in all Michigan weather conditions.

This is a great opportunity for current or future educators and childcare professionals.

Note: Unfortunately we are unable to provide housing for the summer. Counselors must live within commuting distance of our campus.
