Registration opens at 8 am eastern on Thursday, February 1st
Hello Camp Families,
It feels like just yesterday that we had kids running around campus playing games, jumping off the dock into Cedar lake, and singing songs at morning drum circle. Those warm days will be back before we know it! This means that summer camp registration is right around the corner.
Registration is open to everyone and will open Thursday, February 1st at 8 am Eastern. A link for the registration will be available on this site on January 29th.
What We Offer
The Pathfinder Day Camp is a long-standing summer tradition in the Traverse City region. Our camp is a classic experience and is geared toward getting kids outside in a safe and structured environment. Each week has a theme that our counselors design their lessons around. We offer four different age-group options; Young Explorers (1/2 Day Program for 3-4-year-olds that are potty trained), Explorers (4-5-year-olds), Discovery (6-8-year-olds), and Adventure (9-12-year-olds). Other than our 1/2 day program for our Young Explorers, camp is a full day of fun in the sun.
Pricing
A session (week) of full day camp costs $385. This includes a non-refundable $50 deposit. A session (week) of half day camp is $195. The first week of camp will be prorated for the shortened week.
Schedule
Session 1: July 1st - July 3rd NO CAMP on July 4th and 5th. Dive Into Dirt- Campers will get messy this week playing in the dirt! Discover new ways to build and explore the senses with mud, dirt and Cedar Lake’s famous “muck”.
Session 2: July 8th - July 12th. Out of This World - Reach for the stars and explore the final frontier. Bring a sense of imagination and wonder as we go where no camp has gone before.
Session 3: July 15th - July 19th. Things With Wings - Birds, bugs and bats - oh my! Discover how nature has taken flight and explore winged wildlife around the world and in our backyard.
Session 4: July 22nd - July 26th. Going Green - This week we will reduce, reuse, recycle and recover! Campers will engage in the natural world around them on Pathfinder’s 22 acre campus. Our youngest campers will build bug motels while our older campers design their own wearable pieces made from recycled materials to present in a “Trashion Show” at the end of the week.
Session 5: July 29th - August 2nd. Camper vs. Wild - A week of wild fun in the great outdoors! Campers will learn how to build campfires and shelter, forage for food, and maybe even construct the perfect s’more. This week our Discovery and Adventure campers will also have the option to try their hand in Archery!
Session 6: August 5th - August 9th. Beat the Heat - Make a splash with this week’s theme - WATER! Campers will beat the heat with water games, canoe trips, slip and slides and plenty of time on beautiful Cedar Lake.
Session 7: August 12th - August 16th. Go For Gold - Campers, bring your “A” game this week! We will take a trip across nations to celebrate a week of friendly competition and fun. This week will include archery for Discovery and Adventure campers.
Full-Day Programming will run 9 am-4 pm. Half-day programs will run 9 am-12 pm. Receive a 10% discount when you register for all weeks of the camp.
We also offer extended child care for those who need it. Before-Care runs Tuesday - Friday 7:30am-9:00am, After-Care runs Monday - Thursday 4:00pm-5:30pm.
Cancelation Policy
Cancellation received prior to 30 days in advance of the start of a registered session is eligible for a full refund minus the $50 deposit. A cancellation received less than 30 days in advance of the session start date is not eligible for a refund.
