4-H Babysitting Club

The Leelanau County 4-H Babysitting Club is taking registrations for the 2023 year. Open to all youth in grades 6th-8th, and limited to a class size of 20, the club will meet on five Sundays:  February 5 and 12, from 1-4:00 pm for the CPR/First Aid portion, and February 19, 26, and March 5, from 1-3:00 p.m. (one hour shorter) for the curriculum portion at the Suttons Bay Bingham Fire and Rescue Station. Cost is $30, which includes the First Aid/CPR certification fee, snacks, and materials. Youth will learn about how children develop, safety while babysitting, ways to entertain children of different ages and stages, and about the business of babysitting. Youth will receive materials and a First Aid/CPR Certificate from the American Heart Association after completion of the club.
