Peter Galopin is excited to be back in his home state of Michigan after living in Washington for the past six years. Peter completed his undergraduate at Western Michigan earning degrees in Environmental Studies and Urban and Regional Planning. Shortly after graduating he discovered his passion for teaching and working with kids in an outdoor setting helping to co-create a nature based preschool in Illinois. This passion lead him to pursue graduate school in the Pacific Northwest. In 2013, Peter earned a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Washington and K - 6 state teaching certificate. While living in Washington Peter taught kindergarten at The Evergreen School, an independent K - 8 school in the Seattle area. Feeling the pull to be closer to family and friends Peter and his wife, Emily, decided to make the move back to Michigan in 2017. Emily and Peter are really enjoying their new lives in Traverse City and exploring all that the area has to offer.
