The Pathfinder School: Traverse City Community School

Pathfinder Parent Association (PPA)

Providing meaningful opportunities for parents to be involved in our vibrant school community!

At The Pathfinder School, parental involvement is both welcome and encouraged. In addition to active involvement in their child’s educational experience, many parents choose to become involved in the Pathfinder community in other ways. Our Pathfinder Parents Association is the driving force behind the daily family involvement at Pathfinder. No need to join, if your child is a Pathfinder Student, then you, as a parent, are already a member of the PPA!

Monthly PPA meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month. We know schedules are hectic, so we offer a morning and an evening option, and children are welcome at each. The morning meetings are held on campus immediately after drop off at 8:30am. The evening meetings are typically held off campus at the home of a Pathfinder family at 6:00pm. Meetings focus on educating parents through guest speakers and teacher presentations, discussing upcoming events and fundraisers and building a strong Pathfinder community.

The Pathfinder Parents Association plans and hosts a variety of events each year. Parent involvement strengthens the school experience for our students and provides a rewarding connection to the Pathfinder Community for our volunteers. Here you will find a wide-ranging list of multiple volunteer opportunities, with something for everyone. We hope that you will join us!!
