12pm-1pm: Donation Collection at Locations Below
1:50-2:45pm: FREE Concert & Performance at Pathfinder
While many schools and businesses are closed on January 15 in observance of Martin Luther King Day, the students of The Pathfinder School will be busy hosting a Day of Service and Celebration, to benefit the greater Traverse Bay community and honor this important holiday. The entire student body will spend the day supporting those in need and providing an opportunity for the community to celebrate civic action and global citizenship.
To respond to the needs of our community, Pathfinder students will be manning various collection sites across the region during the morning of Martin Luther King Day (Monday, January 15). Students will be collecting canned goods, personal hygiene articles, winter clothing, and infant care items. In the afternoon, Pathfinder will host a free concert @ 1:50pm featuring local musicians and other performances that is open to the public. The concert will provide a way for the people of the Traverse Bay region to join together in celebration of this important holiday and national hero.
Pathfinder will be partnering with the Father Fred Foundation, Goodwill Inn, and Leelanau Christian Neighbors Baby Pantry to receive their collected items. Students will be accepting donated items from 12pm-1pm at the following locations. Please make a point to donate at one of these locations:
