The Pathfinder School: Traverse City Community School

Fall Experience

Honoring wonder, fostering friendships, building understanding!

Fall Experience is a Pathfinder School tradition. Specific days are set aside early in the school year for camping, travel, environmental studies and other special events. This experience helps create a bond between students and their classmates and teachers, and encourages an atmosphere in which students step out of their comfort zone. This safe risk-taking carries over into students’ academic life and increases their self-confidence and their connection with each other. Appropriate overnight opportunities will be determined each year for students in third grade through eighth grade. Students in pre-kindergarten through second grade engage in camping experiences on campus. Fees are included in tuition for classes leaving campus. Each year, students can expect a new and unique experience, while participating in the school’s tradition. Students are expected to participate because this is an important part of The Pathfinder School curriculum.
