B.E.A.R. Day promotes reading as a fun activity and encourages readers and their families to stop by Horizon Books and choose a new book to read.  On that day, Horizon Books will make a donation to The Pathfinder School for all books purchased in the store or over the phone at their Traverse City location. Along with fun reading activities and choosing books, special after school events include a 4:00 pm visit by Pathfinder K-5^thgrade science teacher Dawn Iott.  Already a “shoe-in” for Miss Frizzle, Ms. Iott will dress the part of the character Miss Frizzle from the PBS children’s program, “Magic School Bus” and read to the kids at the bookstore. See complete flier below for a more detailed outline of free seminars happening throughout the day at Horizon Books.
