Lindsay Hanson, a graduate of the class of 2002, attended Pathfinder School from age 3. In middle school, Lindsay participated as cast and crew for various plays with Mrs. Pittinos, and played horn in the band with Mr. Beery. Those early experiences had a profound influence on her interest in the performing arts. She went on to the Interlochen Arts Academy, majoring in music. Upon graduation in 2006, Lindsay spent her first summer on the Interlochen Arts Camp stage crew, having served as a stage services manager for the past four summers. Lindsay spent the last four years in Appleton, Wisconsin, studying horn at the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music. During her time at Lawrence, Lindsay also worked on the recording services staff and explored her interests in arts administration as the Lawrence Symphony Orchestra’s student administrative assistant, and as an intern with the Fox Valley Symphony. One of the highlights of Lindsay’s experience at Lawrence was the opportunity to study abroad in London, England in the winter of 2009. There, she got the chance to combine her interests in performance and in arts administration, studying with internationally-renowned hornist Michael Thompson and completing an internship at Theatre503, one of south London’s fringe theatres known for its emphasis on new plays and new writers. Lindsay moved to Madison, Wisconsin to begin graduate study in horn at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in September 2010.
