Elementary French Teacher

Karen is known as "Madame" at Pathfinder, a title she has loved since joining the faculty in 2001. Karen has been an educator since she was 3 years old and taught her 2-year-old brother to read. Since then, she has taught French in a high school and as a private tutor, as well as teaching Music, Theatre, and Dance in a variety of milieus. Karen has also worked as Director of Religious Education at a Unitarian Universalist Congregation, a freelance writer and grantwriter, a nanny, and a professional voiceover artist.

Madame Karen's Elementary French classes effervesce with songs, games, and hands-on activities that Karen designs to engender a love of learning world languages, and an openness to other cultures that she believes will lead to world peace.
