Trisha Short
Pre-Kindergarten Teacher and Summer Camp Director
Trisha joined Pathfinder in 2007 with 20 years of experience as a teacher and mentor. This Reggio Emilia inspired educator believes children's successes start with authentic relationships, comfortable environments and hands-on experiences. Class time is carefully designed to incorporate Pathfinder’s 22 acres, exposing the school’s youngest students to the bounty of the outdoor classroom. Not every philosophy or teaching theory works for all children, so she creates opportunities for learning through the multiple intelligences and emergent curriculum. Trisha believes that valuing a child and guiding them along a path of intellectual curiosity helps instill a love for learning at a young age. Trisha lives in Kewadin with her husband, Matt, and children Mason and Cassidy, both Pathfinder students.
