Paula joined Pathfinder in 2001 as a pre-kindergarten teacher. In the decade prior to that, Paula taught special education in various capacities in a for ten years. Paula finds a wonderful sense of fulfillment and inspiration through teaching pre-kindergarten. She believes in educating the whole child, planning for multiple intelligences, problem-solving, exploring and taking risks. When children feel comfortable and challenged, they find wonder in the world and joy in discovery Paula uses music, storytelling, dancing and puppets to foster a deeper understanding, which is a trademark of her teaching style. Paula enjoys cross-country skiing, kayaking, and playing the flute. She loves spending time with her husband Paul, their son Will, daughter Anna, and family dog.
