Jim joined Pathfinder in 1989 and promised to stay one year. Since that time, Jim has remained a dedicated caretaker of Pathfinder’s twenty-two-acre campus. Prior to joining Pathfinder, Jim worked in Isle Royale National Park, and on tugboats and 1000-foot lakers, including a season on the S.S. Badger. When reflecting on working at Pathfinder, Jim states, "It is like family here—a great place to be."
Jim retired from full-time work with the Pathfinder School after 30-years of dedication in August 2019. He graciously agreed to stay on to help with the transition of his predecessor and also to continue to drive the bus for all our Pathfinder field trips during the 2019-2020 school year.
