Jennifer Ludwig

Music & Strings Program

Jennifer Ludwig grew up in Interlochen, MI.  She began playing the violin at age 3 and switched to the viola in the 6th grade.  She graduated high school from Interlochen Arts Academy in 1998 with a major in viola performance.  After receiving her BA from Oberlin College in 2002, she lived in Portland, OR for six years where she began her teaching career as a private violin and viola teacher.  In 2010 she received her MA from the Universite de Montreal in viola performance and moved to the Detroit metro area where she taught for 6 years at Cedar Crest Academy, a pre-K through grade 8 independent school in Clarkston, MI.  In 2016 she completed her third level Orff training, therefore becoming a certified Orff music teacher.  While in the Detroit area, Jennifer played with the Oakland Symphony and the Warren Symphony.  She and her family moved to Traverse City in 2018 and are thrilled to be part of the Pathfinder community.
